The R4D is designed for YOUR type of expression. Use it for freeride foiling, ride it as a freestyle sail, carve moves on your foil, and go as R4Dical as you dare.

Designed with Balz ‘Radiculo’ Müller, this sail adapts to every rider’s ambition. Balz pushes it through signature aerial stunts while the R4D remains accessible for everyday sessions, transcending traditional boundaries. The new FoilWave dimension opens unexplored territory – draw lines in waves regardless of conditions.

Four battens – that’s what the “4” in R4D delivers. This configuration maintains precise balance between maneuverability and stability throughout the entire size range. Smaller sizes enhance quick turns, mid-range delivers versatile performance, and larger sizes provide freeride power without adding weight.

A sturdy, but lightweight construction makes the R4D among the lightest in class.  Premium materials and strategic panel layout strip away excess weight without sacrificing durability. Less weight means more response and longer sessions.

The RS:Flight EVO VIII returns with a refined, tighter leech for 2026 - engineered for faster, more efficient foiling which creates high apparent winds. As foil speeds increase, this design increases aerodynamic efficiency and holding power, delivering more drive with less leech movement—resulting in precise, locked-in handling.

In 2025 the main improvements were aimed at high-end performance and stability, and these upgrades remain in place for 2026:

• A higher aspect ratio overall, combined with reduced boom length and head width vastly improves high end performance.
• Increased luff-sleeve width to expand the double surface area of the sail’s profile. This improves efficiency of airflow and, even more importantly, greatly increases profile stability.

For 2026, we further enhanced durability by utilizing our strongest rip-stop Dacron in the front of the upper luff sleeve. All battens are pure carbon tubes, reducing weight and stabilizing the profile of the sail.

THE MOST WINNING RACE SAIL EVOLUTION ON THE PLANET

RS:Racing holds more world titles and speed records than any other racing sail over the past 20 years.

QUADRUPLE LUFF CONSTRUCTION

4 levels of material make up the luff sleeve to increase strength and load carrying performance in this critical, high-stress area of the sail. This luff sleeve design allows us to carry a maximum amount of downhaul tension and greatly reduces stretch in the luff sleeve area, thus increasing performance.

Introduced in 2024, Taffeta in the upper luff sleeve increases stretch resistance, performance and durability.

7 BATTEN DESIGN

Ultimate control and stability are provided by the 7 batten design. 

AIRFLOW BATTEN LAYOUT

Battens are laid out in an aerodynamically correct way, taking into account the rake of the sail when sailing. This improves airflow, allows for easier rotation and faster acceleration.

LEADING EDGE RIB

Carbon ribs sewn onto the upper sleeve’s leading edge stabilize this critical section of the profile on the highest battens where cambers are not used.

This helps maintain the sail’s profile clean, reducing drag, allowing higher top speed and ensuring proper rotation.

NEW MATERIALS IN LUFF AND CLEW

The new materials have allowed us to improve durability and increase stretch resistance to create an even more responsive and competitive race sail.

HIGH ASPECT DESIGN 

The outline of the RS:Flight is much higher aspect than the RS:Racing outline, and we took this even further in the 2026 edition. This allows the sail to take maximum advantage of every gust and promotes maximum speed and upwind/downwind performance.

TIGHT LEECH DESIGN

Designed purely for foil free-race, RS:Flight takes advantages of design features which are not optimal to use on fin sails due to the need for control and wind release over chop when using a fin. Hence, RS:Flight features all the design advantages listed above to gain maximum performance when used to power a pure foil race board.

OVERVIEW

Light and stable in your hands for are smooth and controlled ride on any foil board. Based on the concepts of our race winning slalom foil sails we've managed to transfer the locked, low-backhand-pressure design onto the Ride Foil. The high aspect profile gives you improved aerodynamics for early takeoff and good top speed. The short boom and carefully designed twist characterics make your flight controlled, easy and stable without sudden load changes. This might well be the most user-friendly and powerful freeride foil sail out there. We're absolutely stoked about the outcome of this sail!

 

CONSTRUCTION

Ease-of-use in the "PATRIK"-way. We carefully selected a no-compromise light but durable construction especially for our freeride sail range.
The luff panel is a 2.5 MIL x/scrim-ply which loads gently but is more robust and higher load resistant compared to the dacron.
The sail bottom part is made of 5 MIL x-ply material to give good protection against impacts without compromising the weight too much. The main window is a solid and thick 5 MIL monofilm which provides best combo between visibility, impact resistance and weight. All these things should still be combined with a good shape stability, which is a key factor in this area (main power of the sail). For the top part of the sail, we chose a 4 MIL blue tinted monofilm, which is lighter and adds UV-resistance where you don't need to see through.
As a further bonus, we chose a clear 5 MIL x-ply and blue 5 MIL x-ply along leech and top panel, to add a touch of wear resistance to the area which is always stressed while rigging and rolling the sail.
 

TRIM

The ride on a foil sail needs to be smooth and easy otherwise the changing power load will get you out of balance and into trouble. So make sure to put enough downhaul as indicated by the change of colour on the batten sleeves. Use the outhaul to select the amount of backhand power you prefer according to your size and body weight. Use the lower clew position in strong winds or when feeling overpowered. Please note that the small sizes are RDM only while the big sizes can be rigged on SDM for some extra power. Still we highly recommend using RDM on all Ride Foil sizes for the most controlled, light and easy flight feeling.

HYPERLITE _FAST FREERIDE FOIL 

The HyperLite morphs the Hyper with the FoilGlide – featuring the lightweight sleeve width and handling of the FoilGlide and the shaping of the Hyper.

More freerace oriented than the FoilGlide, the HyperLite is a faster sail, matching perfectly with the Alien and the Hydro.

Much lighter than the Hyper, handling will be unmatched – blast for hours.

Following Severne’s ideology, everything is simplified. An Xtended range drastically reduces the need for many sizes. The HyperLite is offered in just four sizes.
