MOTO _Premium Freeride

The Moto morphs two sails into a single sail that transcends performance boundaries. 

Combining the speed and stability of the Overdrive with the lightweight user-friendliness of the Turbo, the Moto simplifies all aspects of freeride. One sail for all. 

The high skin tension combined with a two cam / seven batten frame create enough structural rigidity for the Moto to match a slalom sail for top-end speed. Shorter boom lengths are matched with a deeper profile and race-tuned leading edge to increase lift, reduce drag and balance the backhand pressure.

Alle SILVER Gabeln werden in hochwertiger BONDED TECHNOLOGY aus 7075 High Tech Aluminium gefertigt. Dieser Werkstoff aus dem Bike Sport verschafft den Holmen wesentlich mehr Steifigkeit. Hinzu kommt neu die Kombination aus rundem Holm im vorderen Bereich (Haltekräfte wirken schräg nach unten, daher ist rund hier steifer) und OVAL TAIL SECTION (horizontaler Segelzug, also ist ovalisiertes Rohr hier steifer). Sie macht die komplette SILVER um ca. 30% steifer. Zusammen mit dem gehärteten Frontbogen ergibt sich eine gigantische Härte und Haltbarkeit, sodass wir 2 Jahre uneingeschränkte Garantie auf alle SILVER gewähren, sogar auf Verbiegen! 

Die Wave-orientierten SILVER sind aus drei Segmenten aufgebaut und besitzen neben dem intelligenten iFRONT 2.0 Kopfstück einen einteiligen Aluminiumendbogen. Zusammen mit den RDM Holmen mit 28 mm entsteht die ideale Kombination aus Steifigkeit und Komfort. Die Biegekurve bewirkt eine gleichmäßige Zugverteilung auf Mast- und Segelhand. Wave Series: 
Die Biegelinie der kurzen Längen mit geringerem Öffnungswinkel vorne und breiterem Endstück ergeben die EVEN CURVE, die für eine gleichmäßigere Zugverteilung auf Mast- und Segelhand sorgt. Das verbessert das Handling beim Wellenabreiten und bei Freestyle Moves und lässt weniger ermüden. Passend zum Einsatzbereich ist das iTAIL WAVE FITTING mit patentiertem Loop-Loop-Go Beschlag (perfekt-reibungsfreier Tampenverlauf) und kompletter Antirutsch-Grip-Beschichtung verbaut! Für maximalen Griffkomfort ist das Endstück nach wie vor eingeschoben. Auf vielfachen Wunsch gibt es jetzt die PLATINUM auch in einer MEGA.SLIM-Version als dünnste Carbon-Gabel weltweit mit nur 24.0 mm Holmdurchmesser (140 - 180 cm)!

Hybrid Series: 
Speziell für die Segelgrößen 4.5 bis 7.8 wurde die Wave/Freeride Version mit HYBRID.CURVE entwickelt, die sich in ihr im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes optimal entfalten können. Für optimalen Griffkomfort und sicheren Halt bei Duck Jibes ist das Endstück zur Hälfte mit Pro-Grip beschichtet (INSIDE GRIPPED TAIL). Niedriges Gewicht, iFRONT 2.0 Kopfstück und die Steifigkeit der Monocoque-Bauweise machen sie zur hochwertigsten Wave/Freeride Gabel, die momentan angeboten wird.

Race Series: 
Die großen PLATINUM besitzen ausgereifte Race/Slalom-Biegekurven. Der 30 mm Holmdurchmesser und das iFRONT 2.0 Kopfstück ergeben zusammen eine unschlagbare Steifigkeit. 

Die Länge 170 – 230 cm hingegen besitzt einen 28,5 mm Holmdurchmesser, ideal für kleine Slalomsegel sowie sämtliche Freerace Segelgrössen.
Achtung: die 170er Länge ist eine Gabel mit Race-Fokus, d.h. Fokus auf maximale Steifigkeit trotz innenliegendem Endstück und "geringem Griffdurchmesser". Dadurch ist sie in ihrer Klasse die steifste Gabel auf dem Markt. Das erreichen wir durch eine Vorspannung zwischen Endstück und Body. Das hat jedoch leider einen negativen Effekt auf den Bedienungskomfort. Die Länge 160 (Freeride Fokus) hat den identischen Body wie die 170er jedoch ein Endstück mit geringerem Öffnungswinkel (= ca. 20% geringere Steifigkeit aber deutlich höherer Verstellkomfort).

PLATINUM 190 und 240 haben individuelle ONE BODY OUTSIDE TAIL Endstücke für 20% mehr Steifigkeit, um auch bei maximaler Länge nichts an Härte einzubüßen. Zusätzliches Highlight ist das iTAIL RACE FITTING, dessen Rollen aus Teflon-POM Kunststoff minimalste Reibungswerte aufweisen. Absolut einzigartig: Die Tampenschlaufe kann sogar bei Verwendung eines Outhaul-Trimmsystems geloopt werden (zum Patent angemeldet). Technologie hat ihren Preis, also nicht erschrecken.

The GT3-FRC is the little sister of our competition slalom sail RaceSF. Many updates and modifications make this sail light and easy in your hands. At the same the GT3 doesn't lose its racing DNA. Fabio Canella and Patrik Diethelm gave it a more narrow mastsleeve while mainly keeping the original panels of the RaceSF. The softer mastsleeve material makes the sail more alive and a little more forgiving. Designed to work best on RDM masts, this sail will ship with a second set of cambers so it can be rigged on SDM too.

CONSTRUCTION

At first sight, this sail could appear just as an "orange" version of our freeride sail. But it's not! The GT-3 FRC is the true entry to the well-known PATRIK racing department and we selected the best materials accordingly.

Protected inside the sleeve there is a thick 7 MIL monofilm luff panel (same as in our pure racing 4-cam sails) which provides the best stiffness and a locked profile.

Then -going towards the clew- we added a full vertical set of 5 MIL x-ply panels before the main body panels. This "stripe" helps to smooth and control the direct feeling of the cambered sails and it adds some extra resistance to this high stressed area.

The main panels are a solid and thick 5 MIL clear monofilm (which provides best combo between weight and a good shape stability) and a 4 MIL orange tinted monofilm for the top part, where we maximize lightness and UV-resistance, since it's not needed to see through.

For the base and leech areas we kept 5 MIL x-ply materials. A real win-win mix: it gives protection to the most exposed zone of the sail and it keeps the rear edge of the sail stable and aerodynamically clean even in hi-wind choppy conditions.
 

TRIM

With the true DNA of a competition slalom sail, the GT3 needs the same downhaul than a modern racing sail. Use the colour prints on the batten sleeves as an indicator for the right amount of loose leech. Only with the open leech the sail will show it's full potential.

The FoilGlide 3 is NOT just a freeride sail with ‘Foil’ written on it… Specifically designed for foiling with focus on the following points;

LIGHTWEIGHT. 

This is one of the most important characteristics. And we do lightweight sails better than anyone.

HIGH CENTRE OF LIFT. 

Increases leverage for efficiency. Improves pumpability. 

STABLE. 

Reduced draft movement means there’s less influence on trim. Better to keep everything constant. Cams keep the sail profile stable and minimize any movement.

SHORT BOOMS. 

Better control. The shorter boom length allows you to adjust your stance easily.
After the success of our foil racing sail, the HyperGlide, we have created a user-friendly freeride version – the FoilGlide. Sharing a lot of technology and ideology these sails are the ultimate for foiling.

The high-aspect design is more stable, more efficient, and more controllable. The shorter boom lengths are easy to manage, and position the Centre of Effort directly above the foil. Combined with a tighter leech, the leverage is increased which gets you up and foiling with a smaller sail in lighter winds.

With only 5 battens and lightweight construction, the physical weight of these sails is significantly less than other sails. For foiling this makes maintaining trim much easier, and just a lot more fun to use.

Due to the overwhelming success of our 2023 RS: Racing EVOXIV, the EVOXV design is closely based on that of the EVOXIV, but with technological advancements from the introduction of new materials: Taffeta in the upper luff sleeve and Lite Skin Aramid in the clew.

The new materials have allowed us to improve durability and increase stretch resistance to create an even more responsive and competitive race sail.

SAIL FEATURES

RS:Racing holds more world titles and speed records than any other racing sail over the past 20 years.

4 levels of material make up the luff sleeve to increase strength and load carrying performance in this critical, high-stress area of the sail. This luff sleeve design allows us to carry a maximum amount of downhaul tension and greatly reduces stretch in the luff sleeve area, thus increasing performance.

New for 2024, Taffeta in the upper luff sleeve increases stretch resistance, performance and durability.

Ultimate control and stability are provided by the 7 batten design. 

Battens are laid out in an aerodynamically correct way, taking into account the rake of the sail when sailing. This improves airflow, allows for easier rotation and faster acceleration.

Carbon ribs sewn onto the upper sleeve’s leading edge stabilize this critical section of the profile on the highest battens where cambers are not used.

This helps maintain the sail’s profile clean, reducing drag, allowing higher top speed and ensuring proper rotation.

The new materials have allowed us to improve durability and increase stretch resistance to create an even more responsive and competitive race sail.

SAIL FEATURES

Free Flight is designed to get you up on the foil as quickly as possible, allowing you to use a tiny sail relative to the wind speed.

Since there is less need for wind release in the leech during foiling, Free Flight takes advantage of the added power and stability gained by a tight leech design. This also allows you to use a smaller sail.

Due to the more upright sailing position when foiling, the foot area of Free Flight is increased to allow you to close the gap when foiling with an upright sail position. This maximizes performance and efficiency.

4 batten layout to provide a stable base and light weight.

Smaller sizes feature 1 mini cam for optimum profile stability vs weight ratio. The 6.6 uses 2 mini cams to add extra stability in the lower portion of the sail in this sail's biggest size.

Designing this sail specifically for foiling allows us to provide maximum foil-specific benefits to take advantage of all the possible efficiency gains available to sails which do not need to cater for fin use.

 

HYPER 7 _FOIL RACE

HYPER CHARGED FLIGHT.

The “HyperGlide” is now the “Hyper”. This shift represents the progression from the early-day foil sail development to a podium-winning platform.

The results are clear. Riding the HyperGlide, the Severne team won the following titles in 2023: PWA Mens Slalom World Champion, PWA Mens Vice World Champion, and PWA Womens Slalom World Champion.

The Hyper’s legacy is clear; it has achieved countless national, continental, and world titles over the years; and has formed the base for the current Olympic racing program.

Hyper 7 entry profiles flatter, deepening as you move back in the sail. This design tweak results in more glide and a slippery in-flight feeling. Hier kommt die Fortsetzung dessen, was wir mit dem PLATINUM AERO Mast schon bewiesen haben. Die Platinum Aero Gabeln sind die leichtesten Gabeln weltweit und das Beste was Du dir gönnen kannst. Egal ob Technologie, Gewicht oder Verarbeitung – die Aero Booms haben die Nase vorne. Allerdings wird es aufgrund der sehr aufwendigen Fertigung nur eine limitierte Stückzahl geben.

Dank hochwertigstem Materialmix und einzigartiger Produktionsweise sind die Gabeln um etwa 300g leichter als die ohnehin extrem leichten Platinum-Gabeln.
